The tragedy of Terrador began when Gnasty Gnorc discovered a way to corrupt the Elders using dark magic derived from the Dragon Eggs and ancient artifacts. Unlike his peers who were eventually freed or fought back, Terrador was fully consumed by this corruption, losing his mind and becoming the Storm Dragon. He was banished to a desolate, storm-ravaged dimension where he raged endlessly, his lightning striking without purpose. It took the intervention of Spyro and the help of the other Elders to break the spell and restore him to his true self.

In Their Own Story

The sky above the Storm Realm churned with violent purple clouds, illuminated only by jagged bolts of white-hot energy that tore through the darkness. Terrador roared, a sound like thunder cracking over a canyon, as he swept his massive wings through the gale. Lightning arced from his horns, striking the jagged rocks below and sending shockwaves rippling across the barren landscape. He was no longer the wise guardian of old; his eyes glowed with a manic, corrupted light, reflecting only the chaos within him. Yet, deep beneath the storm, a faint spark of the true Elder remained, waiting for a hero to bring the calm back to the tempest.

Terrador serves as a tragic antagonist turned ally in Spyro's journey through A Hero's Tail. Originally one of the four Dragon Elders, he represents the element of lightning and is responsible for maintaining the weather patterns of the Dragon Realms.
