In these dark times, the elders were forced to scatter or fall into slumber to preserve the last remaining dragon eggs. Their absence left a void that young dragons like Spyro would eventually fill, proving that the spirit of the council lived on through the next generation's courage.

The Elder Council represents the pinnacle of dragon wisdom and magical prowess within the Spyro universe. Originally a unified body of eight or more powerful dragons, they served as the central authority for all dragonkind.

Each elder specialized in a different area, such as Ignitus with fire, Bentley with water, or Glimmer with magic. This division of labor allowed them to manage the vast responsibilities of ruling Dragon Realms while teaching young hatchlings their respective skills.
